The Eastern HiFi Group of companies has a unique position in the audio-visual home entertainment industry in New Zealand.
From small beginnings more than 30 years ago, the Eastern HiFi Group has established itself as one of New Zealand's leading companies in the mid to high end, specialist audio-visual market.

The company's two core markets are retail sales of hi-fi and home entertainment equipment and the import, wholesale and distribution of hi-fi brands to other independent retailers.

Eastern HiFi Group subsidiaries include an import/wholesale company (Avalon Pacific Marketing Ltd) and a retail company (Eastern HiFi Ltd). The head office is based in Mt Wellington Auckland where the Avalon Pacific Marketing distribution centre is also located.

Avalon Pacific Marketing has sole New Zealand distribution rights for a select portfolio of world leading brands. This portfolio includes Onkyo, KEF, Polk Audio, Audioquest, Dynaudio, Goldring and Hitachi. These brands are marketed throughout the country. Approximately 60% of the product imported by Avalon Pacific Marketing is sold at retail by Eastern HiFi.

Eastern HiFi operates five stores under the company name with outlets in Auckland (North Shore, Mt Eden, Newmarket), Tauranga, Napier and Wellington. In addition to product from Avalon Pacific Marketing, Eastern HiFi markets a carefully selected offering of quality brands such as Denon, Loewe, and Rotel. The Eastern Hifi stores also work closely with the ‘Custom Installation’ sector, providing its quality product for design and install of multi-room audio-visual solutions.
